It had been ten years since Miles had switched bodies with his big sister — and what a decade it had been.
During college, Miles had quickly established a new identity for the body that had once belonged to Katie, his older sister. While before Katie had been bright and bubbly, the new Katie was much more in line with the quite, introspective boy Miles had been.
A fan of zombie movies and role-playing games, Miles had quickly fallen in with a crowd of older geeks that lived in his dorm — even forming a band with them.
The band had even become somewhat popular in the local college bars — giving Miles plenty of opportunities to find girls to sleep with.
At first the excitement of being with girls was enough for Miles — he enjoyed the thrill of partaking in a lesbian relationship.
He had never had much luck with the ladies when he was a guy so the irony was not lost on him that now, as a girl himself, he was getting more action then ever before.
Soon, though, he began to notice that once the excitement wore off, he did not find himself physically attracted to the girls he slept with. While he enjoyed their company, he knew in his heart that what he felt for them was not love.
Meanwhile, as he continued his college career, he found himself growing closer and closer to Chuck, a guy in his dorm who had quickly became his best friend. Together they would watch horror movies and trade comic books. While Miles had initially thought his strong bond with Chuck was based off the joy of forming a relationship so similar to the ones he had left behind with his old body, he soon realized that his friendship with Chuck was different.
